To attend any events or activities at Mizucon, you must be registered as an attendee of the convention.
When you get to Mizucon, you must stop by registration to be issued your personal badge. Badges must be worn at all times in order to gain entry to all
events and convention spaces. When you pick up your badge, you must present identification. Acceptable forms of I.D. include: driver's license, state-issed
photo ID, Military or Government ID, U.S. or foreign passports. We highly suggest you write your real name on your badge in case it gets lost.
If you're a member of an anime club or similar group, your organization can take advantage of our group rates for additional savings (check out
Mizucon's Group Pre-Registration rates). Anyone planning on attending Mizucon is also able to pre-register until
May 1st, 2013
(forms and payment must be post-marked by
May 1st, 2013).

Each adult registration is entitled to a free registration for one child age 12 or under. No more than 4 children can be registered with an adult.
Child registration is processed and paid for at the con for both pre–registered attendees and those registering at the con. No children age 12 or
under may attend the convention without the supervision of an adult.

To pick up your registration or pre-registration, you must bring a acceptable ID and a printout of your confirmation email. The I.D. is required; the confirmation
email is helpful in case of problems like misspellings. Everyone is required to be present in order to pick up their badge.
If you belong to an anime club or similar organization, perhaps you and a group of friends (8 or more people) know you're going to Mizucon, there is a $5
discount per membership. To qualify for the group discount, each individual must fill out a pre-registration form, then the group can simply enter the reduced rate
for each person in your group in the “fee” section of the form. Children under the age of 12 do not count towards the 8–person group requirement. The group discount
is only available if you pre–register with the postal mail form. Important: The Group Registration Discount is not available at the door.
If you've lost your badge, please check with both Mizucon lost and found (located in con-ops) as well as with the hotel. If neither have your badge, you will
have to purchase a new badge. If you pre-registered and lost your badge, you may purchase a new badge for $5 off the at-door price with proper I.D.
If, for some reason, you cannot attend Mizucon 2013, you must contact our P.O.Box address or info@mizucon.com by
May 1st, 2013 to be eligible for cancellation. Your membership may be carried forward to our next event, or
may be transferred to another person's name. Any requests received after the May 1st deadline will not be processed.
Refunds are issued solely at the discretion of our Mizucon Registration Coordinator and may suffer a 10% penalty.

If you're a member of the press and wish to join us at Mizucon, please fill out our pre-registration form as normal and indicated
that you're a member of the press. Registration fees will be refunded at Mizucon based on the merit of your work.
Weapons & Prop Policy
The following weapons/props are NOT allowed at Mizu-Con
Any form of Live Steel not able to be sheathed is NOT allowed. This represents swords, knives, bayonets, shuriken, star knives, and any other object made of metal that could hold an edge, regardless of whether it is sharp. If Sheathed steel weapons are found not piece bonded (secured with ziptie) Mizu-Con security will escort you to Registration to be piece tied.
Other Steel type weapons/items. This represents items like a monkey wrench, a pipe, etc
Any form of firearm with moving parts. This includes air soft guns, pellet guns, water guns, BB guns, dart guns, blow guns, crossbows, water pistols. Exceptions to this rule are obvious prop weaponry that contain no moving parts and are marked with an irremovable orange tip, allowing them to easily be recognized as toys.
No explosives of any kind.
Nunchaku are not allowed.
NOTE: Putting the weapon away in your bag when reminded of our weapon policies at registration will not be allowed. It must be remove from the convention area immediately or it will be taken by Security staff and held in the Security Office until a time when you can remove it from the convention area.
The following weapons/props ARE allowed at Mizu-Con:
Fake or prop weaponry. These can be made of tissue paper, plaster of Paris, cardboard, plastic swords, wood, etc. as long as they pose no danger to you and other convention attendees. (No trailing wires, items that could trip yourself and others, etc)
Staves, bo sticks, shinai, boken, and other wooden swords and staffs.
Weapons Conduct
Any misuse of a weapon (swinging it around in a public area, causing a hazard to others) will result is Security staff requiring you to remove the weapon from the convention area.
If a weapon that does not meet acceptable convention policy is purchased in the dealers room, it must be boxed and remove from the convention area immediately. Please take it to your car or your hotel room.
All weapons and props that may be deemed dangerous or inappropriate must be taken to the convention Security Office and be inspected by the Security Staff. Approved weaponry will be marked by the Security Staff. If a weapon is deemed inappropriate, you will be asked to remove it from the convention area or it will be taken by Security staff and held in the Security Office until a time when you can remove it from the convention area. If you are found carrying a questionable item, Convention Security Staff will ask you to bring it to the Security office for inspection.
If you are unsure if your prop/weapon is allowed, please bring it to the convention Security office for approval.
The Security Staff will deal with repeat offenders accordingly, up to and including possible ejection from the convention without a refund. The appropriate authorities will be contacted for more severe infractions.
