Event Information
We're excited to bring you a selection of event activities all weekend during Mizu Con! They're sorted into 2 sections.
The first section is Convention Events, which are events operated directly by the convention for your entertainment! The second section is Fan Panels, which are events operated by fans just like you who have volunteered their time and resources with Mizucon to have fun with other fans. Take a look! Now, this list is only a sampling of what will be happening at MizuCon. For a complete events schedule, click here. Schedule is subject to change so remember to check back for changes!Event Times:

- *Due to late night programming that begins at 10 pm, late night events could go on until 3 am.

Inspired by the show we grew up with, only Anime Style! Get ready for a quiz game that will be full of anime and manga trivia, and volunteers will be selected from the audience!
Ever had a question you were just burning to ask your favourite character from a show? Thanks to the talents of our voice guests, the audience in this event may just get that chance!
Tired of being the 3rd wheel? Looking for the Otaku guy/girl of your dreams? Then OSD is for you!!! Spend 60 seconds with random Otaku to test your compatibility. Love might be right around the corner, or gone in 60 seconds…
Jump on board as our guests in the industry of producing anime and manga talk with the audience about issues, current events, and other funstuff. If there's time, a Q&A session where you can ask the guests questions directly may take place!
Fan Panels
- Con Survival Guide
Fancy OnigiriTummy rumbling? Make yourself a round rice friend with a happy face at our onigiri rice-ball class/dinner! And then DEVOUR him! This workshop is $7 to cover materials. Space is limited so make sure to get your spot!
Cat Ears and Tails
Learn the basics of machine and hand-sewing (and when it's appropriate to use hot glue) to make yourself a matching set of cat ears and a tail in fun fuzzy fabric! This workshop costs $5 to cover materials. Space is limited.
Life of an Anime Con Vendor
Steve Lin of Anime Pavillion talks about the ins and outs over the years of going to many, many, many different anime cons and selling the goods. Sometimes silly, sometimes serious, sometimes downright educational, but all in good fun!
Horn Decorating
Let out the little devil in you by customizing your own set of clay horns on hairclips (with elastic for the hair-impaired). Make ‘em unique, glittery, feathered, outrageous, you name it! This workshop costs $5 to cover materials. Space is limited.
Plush Onigiri Making
It may be lunchtime but you can't eat this pillowy riceball buddy. However, he will be ready for your afternoon nap! This workshop is $8 to cover materials. Space is limited.
Micro Casting
Learn how to reproduce small items (like jewelry, accessories, small figures) in several mediums for costuming and cosplay! This workshop is $3 to cover materials. Space is limited.

Costumes, performers and singers! Come one, come all! Here is the event that most of our guests can't wait to see the most!
Whether being a spectator or a contestant, everyone enjoys seeing the outfits people wear during the convention! There will also be contestants that perform skits from anime movies and singers ready to share their voices to anime songs!
A judging will be presented and prizes passed out to the winners. If you wish to be a participant you may register for it when you pick up your badges at the registration desk. The more the merrier so come show off your stuff!
**Artist Alley**
Artist Alley is a place for artists (and other creative individuals) to promote and sell their work. All interested applicants must apply for acceptance. If your artwork is accepted, you will receive an email confirmation letting you know when and where to purchase your table and badge.

Video Gaming
These are the Gaming Room's opening and closing times:- Friday: 12 PM - 10 PM
- Saturday: 11 AM - 11 PM
- Sunday: 10 AM - 5 PM
General Rules:
- NO food or drinks.
- Keep hands clean.
- Don't sit on the floor.
- Keep your belongings close to yourself.
- Don't go behind consoles or other equipment.
Tournaments will costs a fee and the total amount from all entrants will be split among the 1st (50%), 2nd (30%), and 3rd place (20%) winners. Standard tournament rules apply to all games.
The tournament schedule is as follows:- Friday:
- *Registration for Melee and Just Dance: 12 PM - 2 PM; $5 each
- Super Smash Bros. Melee: 3 PM
- Just Dance: 4 PM
- *Registration for Guilty Gear: 4 PM - 6PM; $10
- Guilty Gear: 7 PM
- Saturday:
- *Registration for Brawl: 11 AM - 4 PM; $10
- *Registration for HALO: 12 PM - 2 PM; $10
- HALO: 3 PM
- Super Smash Bros. Brawl: 5 PM
- *Registration for BlazBlue: 4 PM - 6 PM; $10
- BlazBlue: 7 PM
- Sunday:
- *Registration for Call of Duty and Street Fighter 4: 10 AM - 12 PM; $5 for CoD, $10 for SF4
- Call of Duty: 12 PM
- Street Fighter 4: 2 PM
There will be free play all day and a wide selection of games aside from just the ones with tournaments. A full list of games is available if anyone would like to know.
